Miss Rodeo Oklahoma

Calli Newman makes her home in Northeast Oklahoma, an area of the country known for its lush grasslands, cattle ranches, and of course legendary cowboys and cowgirls alike. A confident horsewoman who is profoundly competitive in many events including rodeo, extreme cowboy racing, reining, and even hunter-jumper classes and now a three-time world champion. She has been involved in many aspects of the horse industry which ultimately led her to the sport of Professional Rodeo. If it involves a horse, Calli has either done it, learned to do it, or wants to do it. Now, as an official spokesperson, she will travel the length and breadth of this grand land promoting Professional Rodeo, Education, and Oklahoma.

A senior at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma she will graduate in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with the Accounting option. Upon completion of her reign as Miss Rodeo Oklahoma she plans to use her awarded scholarships to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Agricultural Business Management and Finance. She wants to help farmers and ranchers to provide the best financial advice, entrusting someone who has experience in these areas.

Calli has found her true passion in being a servant leader. She is easily found volunteering her time to community organizations and mentoring youth, giving back with gratitude that which was given to her. She is one who leads by example and believes that with a hard work ethic and determination, anything is possible.

Calli has found her true passion to guide and portray to others, that if they work hard enough, then anything is possible.

As Miss Rodeo Oklahoma she will travel to Las Vegas to represent Oklahoma at the Miss Rodeo America pageant in December 2017 during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo to conclude her reign.

Calli wants to show others what a great sport rodeo is! This is a family of competitors who have set out to make their living as a cowboy or cowgirl. Calli wants to spread the willingness, kindness, and overall goodness portrayed by these cowboys and cowgirls to the rest of the world.

Miss Rodeo Oklahoma was only a dream for Calli, she searched for an amazing team to guide her to the finish line. She never thought a DREAM like this would come true. But, if you WORK hard enough, remember, ANYTHING is possible.
